Critical Performance Indicators (CPI) System

Goal

The aim is to develop and implement a management-orientated and lean key performance indicator system at "top level". The resulting performance measurement and management system gives the company a better overview of the effectiveness and efficiency of its performance.

Benefit

The CPI system enables effective planning, management and control of the company thanks to streamlined key figure cockpits. Early warning indicators are used to recognise weak signals and proactively derive measures. There is a high level of identification, as employees are involved in the development of the system. In addition, understanding is increased and trust is created as a result.

Critical Performance Indicators

Project content

In an environment of increasing complexity and dynamism, a one-dimensional approach to corporate and operational controlling is no longer sufficient. Modern performance measurement systems must take into account the various facets of service provision in order to enable comprehensive measurement and evaluation of effectiveness and efficiency. In the project, a performance measurement and management system customised for the company is developed together with the employees. To this end, the company's critical success factors are identified and "Critical Performance Indicators" (CPIs) are jointly derived in workshops.

Critical Performance Indicators

The change process is supported by the use of specific tools in the individual phases and enables the strategy to be operationalised and aligned with the critical success factors. The relationships between the indicators are analysed and driving factors are identified. The CPI system is supported by a structured reporting process and a CPI guideline.
Only if the system is customised to the respective needs of the company is it possible to create a good overview with just a few CPIs. The introduction of such a system leads to a significant change in the organisation. In order to utilise the potential, employees must identify with the system. This requires comprehensive change management right from the development stage.
